Polly Plunket-Checkemian’s career in property management, asset management and estate management has spanned some of London’s best estates and trophy offices.
In her current roles, she is Strategy Director for Broadgate Estates and Principal of a consulting practice that helps clients maximise customer loyalty and property performance from their managed assets.
In her most recent roles, she led Cushman & Wakefield’s UK Property and Asset Management service line comprising 250 people. She also sat on the company’s Board for five years and was Board Sponsor for diversity.
Polly’s key projects have included providing a strategic role for Regent Street Management Direct, The Crown Estate’s property management service vehicle for its £4billion Regent Street portfolio for more than a decade.
As an expert in mobilisation (the process of bringing properties out of construction into occupation), she created a specialist service line for Cushman & Wakefield that has since mobilised 5 mn.sq.ft on London, most recently culminating in delivering Gerald Ronson’s vision for the UK’s first six star offices at Heron Tower (now 110 Bishopsgate).
As a rounded real estate professional with 30 years’ experience in property, Polly is passionate about changing industry perception of property and facilities management, not just by changing the calibre of service delivery, or value creation, but by helping clients maximise competitive advantage and customer satisfaction from the end users of their real estate assets.
Session: The Workplace Advantage
Too often businesses focus on workplace performance by considering cost per square foot rather than revenue per square foot. And UK employees can tell.
Only one in two agrees their workplace helps them to work productively. We can’t afford to ignore them.
The Workplace Advantage report was published in December 2016, an output from The Stoddart Review, and focuses on how the workplace can be used as a performance lever in business.
Launched at last year’s ThinkFM, The Stoddart Review was a cross-industry collaboration, and at this year’s conference the team will share their story with you.
“Are the workplaces you occupy, manage or deliver proactively supporting the roles of those they accommodate? The Stoddart Review challenges you to add a new item to your board agenda. Are your workplaces fit for purpose?” – Polly Plunket-Checkemian
